CBHS Wave Riders – 20010 - 2011

Practices for those people swimming with Tigers, Thunder, Bartlett Extreme or the Germantown Centre will continue as currently scheduled. GO TO YOUR REGULAR COMPETITIVE TEAM’S SWIMMING PRACTICES – I will be communicating with your coaches to make sure you are practicing daily. (There have been swimmers in the past who have told me they were practicing with their competitive team who really were not).

A large factor in earning a Varsity Letter for swimming is DAILY attendance at practice. I have already spoken with those playing other CBHS sports during the swimming season. Since they will be at practice for more than one sport – attendance for your other school sports will count toward this DAILY practice requirement. However, “going swimming” during rec swim somewhere is not the same as attending a team practice and will not factor into this requirement.

Those who are NOT currently swimming with one of the competitive programs listed above will have practice with me at the University of Memphis Monday through Thursday nights from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.

Those new swimmers who are not registered with USA Swimming must fill out a registration form and pay the registration fee of $50 per person (non-refundable if you quit during the year). The registration fee provides coverage by USA Swimming insurance for all of our athletes. Those swimming for one of the competitive clubs listed at the start of this letter are already registered for this and do not need to register again.
