Well, I am sitting here with one of my daughters and she asked me about my
web page. Then she inquired to why there was nothing much on here about
me, or more importantly, her. So, without further ado, here we go....
I have been teaching at Christian Brothers High School for quite some
time. The 2007-2008 school year is my seventeenth at CBHS. Before
Christian Brothers, I taught at Bishop Byrne from 1988-1991. So I am in my
twentieth year of teaching.

I graduated from Father Ryan High School in Nashville, TN in 1984. I
attended Rhodes College here in Memphis, graduating with a B.A. in history in
1988. I played football for four years in college and also played baseball
one season (1985, 1st base, 3rd base, and outfield) and threw the javelin for
the track team in 1987. I was not a very good thrower, my best being 168
feet, which placed me 13th in the conference that year. So, I retired from
track.

I have coached football at both the freshman (10 years head freshman coach at CBHS)
and varsity levels (1 year at CBHS and 3 years at Bishop Byrne, where I was the
defensive coordinator on the 1988 state semi-finalist team), Freshman Girls
basketball (2 years, career mark of 26-10), and varsity wrestling (1 year head
coach at Bishop Byrne, 6 years assistant coach at CBHS and now starting my eleventh
year as head coach.) I am very proud of what the wrestling team ahs
accomplished over the last decade and I am just glad to be a part of a great
program with wonderful help, parent support, and dedicated wrestlers. I am
again coaching freshman football this season (2007) after four years off.
I have a great staff and a great bunch of guys and I am enjoying football again.
I have taught World History, World Geography, United States History and AP
United States History at CBHS, and I love every minute of it. The guys are
great and they keep me young! In my first four years of teaching AP, 80%
scored a 3 or higher, and 50% scored a 4 or higher, which is pretty good. This
past year, 2006-2007, we had 100% score 3 or higher.
I have been married to the same wonderful woman for 12 years, her name is
Hope, and she may be the only person on earth who can tolerate me.

I also have three wonderful daughters who keep us both running
constantly. They are Faith, Kayley and Rachel. Faith, the
oldest, attends St. Ann Bartlett and runs cross country and plays basketball for
St. Ann.
Kayley, who also attends St. Ann Bartlett and plays soccer and basketball for
St. Ann. Both are very good students (of course).
The youngest member of the clan is Rachel who joined us September
2004 and has just started Mother's Day Out at Holy Spirit.

Well, that's all I can think of for now. Thanks for checking my site
out.
